Bert Weteringe

Bert Weteringe was born in the late 1970s, in Hellendoorn, a small village in Salland, Overijssel, on the edge of Twente. The village was characterized by the presence of 2 authentic windmills that served as grain mills. During his childhood, one of the two windmills was still active and sold flour. He liked coming there and was impressed by this technical construction work.

His youth was a time when people still watched a black and white TV tube through the antenna. Computers and the internet did not exist yet. Every day he spent time outside with friends, no matter what the weather was. His life revolved around outdoor activities. He also helped in his parents' vegetable garden – many people at that time still had a vegetable garden to grow their own vegetables.

At that time they were inventive and creative, they were on their own and developed by learning from nature and how to deal with nature. Casual and pure. It was a period of timeless and limitless discovery and experience.

Breathing in the fresh air every day, regardless of weather and wind, with a life energy that you felt flowing all day long. What a wonderful time that was.

​

And then high school came. Without realizing it at the time, he was sucked into a system. He became convinced that he needed a degree to find a job and build a future for himself. Programmed and not realizing what kind of system is behind this, the bond between him and nature further crumbled. During this period, free enjoyment and discovery of and with nature has made way for studying and working to pay the rent.

Over time he started to ask himself what pushed him to stay with this system for so long. Doesn't nature have everything needed to live a beautiful and happy life? Why was that taken away from me? Why did I let that happen? He asked.

​

In recent years, his life path has become much clearer and his developments have accelerated. A self-sufficient existence as much as possible without the burdens of the current system, that is what he is working towards. The connection with nature and the entire universe has returned to his own system. He has been helped by all the wonderful people who have crossed his path in recent years.

​

With a technical background as an aircraft engineering engineer, specialized in engineering lightweight materials and associated production processes for the production of lightweight structures in the aircraft industry, he has the necessary technical similarities with the technology used in modern wind turbines.

He wrote this book from his heart, out of love for humanity and nature. From his childish nature, he started writing openly about the devastating effect of the climate agenda on society and nature, and specifically about wind turbines. To be able to share this information with the readers feels like an important step in his process towards a self-sufficient life in and with nature.
